my pup ring snapped in half

ok all my EMG 81 in the bridge of my Viper 100 went dead, i removed it and sent it back to EMG and they replaced it, i took it to a tech cuz i wasnt sure if a specific pup height was needed for the EMG and he snapped parts off it off, so one of the screws is held on just by the threading...does a Viper 100 need CURVED or FLAT PUP rings thanks

+1 Why should you pay for something that he broke? If he won't pay for it, I'd take it somewhere else. I know it costs a few bucks, but its the principle of it.

The rings on the vipers get really brittle. I have replaced the rings on both of my Vipers with Allparts humbucking pickup rings. Perfect match.
