Hey dude. Question...

Is the Vintage Tele Bridge string thru or no? Do you think I would be able to mount it on my Tele?

It's got some similarities to his solo album, but it's more clearly a Black Keys album than that. It's hard to explain, but it's a really good album.

Different. I didn't really like Attack & Release too much (it had some good songs, though), but this is the shit. It's a little bit more produced, but it still has their sound. There's more arrangement/ other instruments/ guitar layers than I remember hearing in The Black Keys, but it comes together so well. It's more laid back/ mellow / swanky, too, which I really like.

Nice. I finished listening to it on my way back from class, the whole thing's great. Might be my favorite album of theirs, but that could just be the excitement from new music talking...

Have you heard the new Black Keys album? I just started and it's pretty fucking great so far.

I know the cab will be no problem at all. Im just wondering what the speakers will sound like. I'm pretty sure they will sound alright. I could always get 2 more V30's later or even T75's or something.

Marshall cabs are awesome dude. When I had the old Marshall 412 with V30's, that puppy sounded huge.

Sorry to bother you again dude, but I have a question about G12H30's now.

You said that you used a cab with those in it to record Solstice and Ritual?

How do you think a Mesa Stiletto cab with 2 V30's and 2 G12H30's would sound with my 6505+? You think they would blend well with the V30's for the high gain stuff? I was reading up on them and learned that they are more for 60's rock tones. Kinda like Greenbacks. Maybe?

I don't know. Your the only person I know who has experience with the speakers.

Yeah, I could get rid of some of the useless low end too. Which will let the bass take a little of that range. As well as the drums.

I'm not digging the drum sound either, too metal. I'm gonna work on a more raw drum sound for this kind of music too.

I made a sweet (well at least I think so) mastering chain last night. I was working on a mix and it brought it to life. I'll see what happens if I put my mastering chain on it. Should bring the overall presence and attack up quite a bit.

I'm getting my bass back this week, I'll see what I can do. Thanks.
