a les paul style case would save me a couple of bucks, but its not worth it if it doesn't fit just right.

I just bought a universal fit EC case from musician friend for 80 bucks with free ship;

MF has them for 119.00 and Sam ash sells them for 89.00 with 20.00 extra shipping.Musician friend beat their price by 10 percent and gave me free shipping.Its olny been two days ago so maybe you could get the same deal.

SKB cases for LesPauls can be used for ECs as well. I wouldn't think it's any different with any other case manufacturer.

You should get one.Its a really nice case.It was made a little cheaper than I would have liked but i take really good care of my stuff so I think it will work fine.:)
