I have an eclipse CTM black and the binding seems to have turned off coloured and yellow. I've only had it for a few months and i'm wondering if there is a way to clean it?

EC-1000s do that too. The binding on my Eclipse I CTM SW has not showed any signs and its been a loooong time. Go figure. Theres nothing you can do as far as I know just live with it I guess:\

Aging in a couple of months doesn't sound right, and plus if every other person who has his guitar age's too, that doesn't make it too unique.
There's not really any way to undo the problem you're having unfortunately

acouple months or acouple years, thats the point i was making. They all age but they age in different places and different times. And that makes your axe unique

My Viper standard's binding started to yellow after a couple months. Nothing will get rid of it. The binding itself is yellowed under the clearcoat. Solvents in the clearcoat are what actually cause it, so no amount of cleaning will help. Happens to most guitars with white binding and clearcoats over the top. The only part of the binding that stays white is the thin piece on the fretboard that gets sanded when the fretwork is done. Thats why the VTB Eclipse has the white strip on the top of the fretboard. Try not to worry, you'll probably get used to it, and no matter what it was going to happen eventually.

It happens. Even on Customshop stuff. Happened on my RV too.

It is. Yes, I'm acutaly not too worried about it. I have some really good pics of it brand new. I just wanted some pics of me playing in before it becomes imperfect and i wondered if there was a simple solution...

Differing types of finishes can produce more yellowing, though.
Also, if you smoke or live in a house of smokers or play a tone of shows in smoky places, it can accelerate the yellowing.

You guys can't deny that to a point, this is true. How many people here started playing guitar to get chicks?

That being said, my Customshop Horizon has turned into a cream color on the neck binding and it's a 2001. Doesn't seem to be getting any better or worse. It bothers me a little, but in the end good tone and playability win over a little binding discoloration. Like anybody can see how white your binding is when you're on stage anyway.

Yeah, alot of people play guitar because they want women.
I indirectly started because of a girl at school :\ but it wasn't to look good it was so we had a common interest in music.

There's nothing 'imperfect' about the binding discolouring.. so now you have a guitar with vintage white binding! :D

Creme binding can discolor rather quickly with exposure to light and smoke.

it's not that suprising.
its bad when you're a black/death metal singer and you sing for them, they don't like sex when you sound like satan for some reason. huh, dumb bitches. lol, then i play something soft for them to woo them back into the zone.
