I haven't seen too many real life pix of this model so I was wondering if anyone here has any :) I'm not sure which I want to order just yet, but leaning towards the TSB.

I'd like to see some too, just to get my GAS up when mine finally gets in. :)

There's a bunch of 'em here. Haven't found any others yet... (http://www.musik-schmidt.de/osc-schmidt/catalog/esp-ltd-ec400-tsb-tobacco-sunburst-p-21529.html?osCsid=416c3fe75d872a2e0a23e24a4ac3f27a )

Yeah I saw those and one guy from HC had a couple too and although they were kinda blurry, it looked nice :)

Then there's this one:

Care to share those pics from the HC guy? I've been looking for weeks now to find some more, too :) There was this guy who had a couple of them from a music store he went to, posted them in the general discussions forum but I forgot his name.

Looks cool :) Seems like some are more black around the edges than others I have seen. Here are several from HC:

That guitar brings water to my mouth.

Ah goddamnit. Why the six weeks? How long can it take to ship a guitar? :(

I'm about to order one of those EC400VFs, but since they're not distributed to my country, I have to order it from Germany or the US. There's a considerable difference in price - on EU sites it costs about 700 euros, while on US sites it goes for 600$.

Is this due merely to trading arrangements, or is there a difference in quality, or the country of origin (they all should be manufactured in Korea, right?)

a question for metalupurass855: i see that your guitar has open coil hums, although the pics on ESP site show closed coil SDs. Have they already been installed, or did you change them yourself?

i'd appreciate it if you could give me some info on this.

I'm in the EU and I'm getting one through my guitar dealer for €660. This higher price is not due to quality differences but due to ESP's position in the European market - they're not that easy to get a hold of and are generally a lot more expensive than they are in America.

About the humbuckers, I'd like to know that too. Uncovered hums look way cool on Les Paul-type guitars!

JeanPaul, as you can see from my Location which I just filled in, my country is not in the EU, not even a candidate, maybe next year if the current geopolitical trade goes well ;)

There's only one single dealer here that imports LTDs, exclusively from Germany, which means that the price would go up to 770-800e. So, i'll definitely order it from America.

and yes, the uncovered hums are way cooler, not just visually - you must have noticed that most of the legendary LP players (Moore, Duffy, Slash...) prefer the open coils. I guess, they give a more defined tone.

Aha, Serbia... we kicked your asses in football, a couple of weeks ago! :p (Too bad our national team still sucks.)

7-800... whoa, and I thought I was paying a lot :) seems like the guitar is totally worth it though, based from the reviews of the EC-400 AT I've read thus far. And yes, open coils should give a little more defenition as opposed to covered hums which are supposed to sound a bit more dampened/muffled...

well, you can say that the asses got kicked, not that i care much for it, since most of our players are just money grabbing pros, the younger the greedier, who couldn't care less about putting more effort into the national team. and our football organisation, a bunch of money laundering mobsters they are... tennis, on the other hand, seems to be a different matter, lately :)

as for the LP sound, massive and crunchy but well defined, i'm a Duffy fan. wonder how close can i get to it, with the EC400? close enough, i hope.

for all the people asking about the open coils
I simply took the covers off the stock JB and 59' that originally come with the guitar.
The sound is defintely wayyyyy better....a lot more responsive and clear. Also a lot hotter in terms of playability.
and makes the guitar look way cooler!

I heard you can't just go and take those pickup covers off... how did you do that? Just unscrew 'em?

Normally you need to desolder them (there's two small globs of solder on the top/bottom that help hold the cover in place).
