I talked to Joel Stroetzel from KsE and he uses the 11-48 EB powerslinky's so thats what i use but must people ive talked to use "beef slinkys" or "top heavey's) or it might be "bottom heaveys" whats best?

well to tell you the truth im having trouble getting decent vibrato with my 48, and the biggest gauge ive used are 50's and im 14 so my hands arent fully developed, 49 is probably the biggest id go for the top string.

Mr. Loomis gets an awesome vibrato with a .70 on his low Bb.

So, you're 14, and I've seen some posts that you put that you have like, a Mesa preamp into the Peavey 50/50, with a Mesa Cab and a Behringer Cab, and an EC-500, thats a hell of a rig for a fuckin' 14 year old, man!

I got this old ass Crate GX-130C head, into a Behringer BG412S (the one with Jensen), from a Samson Stage 5 wireless, coming from an MH-250 (with duncans) and a Viper Baritone (VB-300)

None knows whats the best for you. It can be the best for them but not for you. Try diffrent gauge/brand of strings and you'll see which one match with what you like.

He can use lighter strings coz the bridge on his caparisons are placed slightly further back on the body than normal guitars, giving more tension with lighter strings. Its a design of Caparison.

We will typically use an 11-52 set and replace the 52 with anywhere between 58-62. It all depends on you're playing, though. Also, don't forget to adjust the springs inside your bridge if you down-tune and change gauges. There are a few online string tension calculators that you can use to find the "ideal" string gauge for tuning, scale length, and bridge spring positions.

Cheers,
Richard

It shouldn't unless it grew a floyd somewhere between Korea and your house.

no, an EC-500 doesn't have springs. btw, how did you get to talk to Joel? i met them for like 2 seconds at warped tour, but those guys were so anti social! but they're still my favorite band.
