Fedex just arrived and brought my new KH4 today. Such a nice looking guitar, and in perfect condition. Neck feels slightly thicker than my other KH2, but nice and solid feeling. The neck through looks great.
This one has 2 dots on the 12th fret. I believe some were made with the ESP logo? ANyone know how much. This guitar was made in '98 so must be from the original run i think.
Perfect addition to the collection :evil
Pics coming.........

Just my 2 cents, here is mine.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/ice7400/KH-4/IMG_0042.jpg
I believe after 2002, ESP has change the way they stamp on the back of the headstock. Before it's "Custom Guitar", which was built in Customshop. but after 2002 all KH-4 has been stamped only "Custom Shop", plus they change the serial number sequence. As far as I see, I have never seen any SS KH-4, only CS KH-4.
I don't have the pic of my COA, but it's smaller than yours (not regular ESP COA size)
Long time ago, some dude post the difference between T and K serial number, but I forgot about that.
Not sure, if my theory is right.

T and K just represent different custom shop locations.
In Japan, guitars dont come with CoA...and do not necessarily have the stamps...since all ESPs sold in Japan are custom shop produced.

really clever to bid more money for a guitar than the buy it now price was!

very easy:
final bid: US $1.925,00
starting price was $1600 and buy it now price $1800

well the final bidder never paid so i got it for less than 1925. Also, the auction didnt have a buy it now price. I dont get it
Are you trying to be funny?

I believe the buy it now price get removed when a bid is made, which is why some folks set the buy it now price the same as the starting price. So if someone placed a $1600 bid (the starting price) no one else would get a buy it now option or see it was there iirc which would explain why the bids would go above it.

you're right, but there was it buy it now price of $1800!
ask the seller!
did you get it?
I think the buy it now option is removed after the first bid.
Anyhow less than 2000 dollars for a perfect condition KH-4, that's a sweet deal !!! :evil
Congrats on the guitar, it's one that is still missing in my collection... :p
Bastard - what a bad-ass f-cking guitar - rip it up.......

Any idea on where I could get a pickguard like that one. I have a MII with a pickguard that I don't like. Strat pickguards don't fit so I need one just like the kh-4. Any ideas?

Maybe order a pearloid or plastic sheet, then trace the template from your old one to your new one, cut it, and hand sand the edges out yourself???
Edit: Oh wait, I think you meant that you want to install one...
If so, someone on the boards probably has a template of it, ask them to send a copy of it, and then scale the diagram to size...
