How's the MXR ZW-44?
I like it for certain things. I only use it during soloing though.
Its a very noisy pedal. I havent found my way to get it to be quiet without killing the tone of the thing wich is a problem. If your playing with a band you can hardly recognize how much noise you get but if you get it for bedroom jamming then prepare the hear alot of hiss.
I only have one noise suppressor ran right after it though, so that could be why its so bad for me. Once I get another NS-2 for the front of my pedalboard I'll give a little reveiw. I think a rack noise suppressor may be needed for it though.
Like i said, if your in a band and you play alot of lead, its worth the cash. I just wish the thing wasnt so damn noisy.

instead of getting another NS-2 get an ISP decimator.....

well i was thinking this but i wasnt sure how well it would work.
I plan on gettin the ISP Pro rack G to put in my rack. I was going to run the ISP first in the rack, have the rack effects, then have another NS-2 to put before the Overdrive also. I wasnt sure if that would effect to much tone or if it was even worth trying though. Thanks for the advice btw.

well the ISP decimator is true bypass so it wont ruin ur tone.ive tried both NS-2 and the ISP.the NS-2 lost a lil tone and the ISP didnt at all.thats from my experience though. u mite want to try putting the NS-2 in the beginning of ur effects and the last pedal should be another NS-2 or the ISP

So tell me if this sounds good to you. Ill have the ISP in front of everything in my rack. Then go from the last rack peice to the NS-2>Overdrive>EQ>NS-2>guitar.
I just never tried running an EQ before a Noise Suppressor so i wasnt sure if the tone would stay steady.

How's that head sound, I have always been interested in one and they are cheap on the bay, how much did the BBE add to it?

The head?
The Clean Channel-
The clear channel sounds crystal clear. It has a nice warm smooth sound once you set everything up.
Crunch Channel-
I have this channel set exactly how I want it. I can get a nice thrash sound out of it. Almost like a Megadeth tone or the tone on Metallica's Kill Em' All album. My band plays alot of thrashy stuff so it works perfect for me.
Ultra Channel-
If your into real heavy riffs like ones from Droid and Five Finger Death Punch then you'll like this channel. it dosnt really get a chance to show you what it has unless the volumes kinda high. I love this channel though. Its great for a Cannibal Corpse type of tone.
The Reverb-
This sounds a bit more different than what i expected, but ive come to like it. It works great with the clean channel. Havent messed with it enough to give a full reveiw on that though.
The BBE with the amp-
IMO the BBE brings out alot of tone with this amp. Almost like lifting a blanket off your speakers. This is an amazing peice of equipment though. I havent heard one bad thing about the 482 with any amp. I say if you have the chance to try it out then go for it.
These amps arent made anymore but you can find them everywere. There deffinatly worth the cash. This was money very well spent.

Just put the NS-2 after the ZW-44 and the hiss dissappears. That's how I ran mine for years.

both the decimator(isp) & hush super c(rocktron) are meant to run as such:
input 1(or A): input(guitar) output(front end of amp)
input 2(or B): input(fx send) output(fx return)
that way you are silencing both that which goes into the front of the amp(noisy pups such as single coils can be bothersome, shoddy wiring, and pedals are clamped down at this stage).
And the things in your fx loop(including noisy preamps ala 5150/6505 etc as well as other stuff) are clamped down on effectively as well.
Both sites state this as proper wiring, see fig 1A, but I wonder how many 'average joe' users follow those rules?

Oddly enough I find it funny that the NEW Hush looks & acts eerily similar to the Decimator Rack version... While Rocktron calls their tech "Rocktron’s V.I.R. (Variable Integrated Release)" .... ISP calls their tech "The Decimator ProRackG is based on ISP Technologies patent pending “Time Vector Processing”"
Could be because they were both designed by the same guys... The WALLER Bros. Anyone else mimic these feelings?

is the CFH one of the limited signed ones?
MikeC

No, the signed ones are the USA models. There's only 150 of them made, but there on ebay all the time. They've been going a bit cheaper now though. If your interested just keep an eye out for a deal. You'll probly get one for about $2500 or so.
