I got Sonar 6 Pro Edition from work to try out, I must admit Im not to clued up on the software based recording solutions so what are your experiences with this or other programs.
The lads at work run all sorts, pro tools, logic, cubase etc. Sonar looks pretty nifty but I duno really

Sonar is actually a great program. However, for starters, Tracktion is probably the easiest high quality recording program. Protools is standard stuff, great for file sharing because it's so common for pro studios, but it is harder to learn. If you just want something simple, super user friendly and still have all the same options as the other programs, try Tracktion. They have tracktion 1, 2, and 3 now. I have more recording software than you can shake a stick at, and tracktion has been my favorite for personal use for a few years now.

Thats cool man, Id really like tools but I dont have the cash.
I had a Sonar LE verison befor this edition I got with my interface and thought it was pretty easy to get a grips with. If you think sonar pretty good Ill just go with it... I guess Im just a part time producer :p

i have sonar pro 6 using it with a echo layla 20,it works great have no problems with it at all,even with a piece of hardware thats almost 13 years old
