New Eclipse Porn........

FINALLY picked me a eclipse. I've been wanting one for a while, wasn't too particualar on the color either, although I'm not a fan of gold hardware on certain colors, I'll give anything a shot. So I ran across this vintage white with a free ESP hardshell case, free gold schaller straplocks and free shipping so I jumped on it. Sounds REALLY NICE, cleans from the 60 are always nice, but the 81 really suprised me, I wasn't expecting the distorion from it to be outrageous, but man, it's HEAVY! Has a nice deep chug to it, which is what I really like. I've never seen this finish in person so from online pictures, it doesn't look that bad. It's a little darker then the pictures, has almost a egg nog look to it, don't know if I really like it that much, but I'll give it shot. I was also thinking of changing all the hardware color to something different, maybe chrome? Anyways, here's some pics.......

I am torn in between one of these or a VB! Really wish ESP would release and ALL Black one with NO inlays. I would enjoy that...

well I guess it all comes down to which color you like, I have seen a vintage black in person and they look nice, but the vintage white isn't that bad though, it takes a little getting used to it. I also thought the finish was gloss, but it's flat like the vintage black also.

I'm not a huge fan of the eclipse in general, but this one is awesome. Congrats!

Stick with gold!!! Gold > Chrome on that guitar.

Great choice, I think the VTB and VTW are the guitars where the gold hardware just "fits" and looks good!

If your dead set on switching hardware, definitely go with Black. That would look damn sick I think.
Sweet guitar though, I just picked one up myself last month in snow white.

no man dont switchout the gold. itll look weird especially since the "ESP" on the head is in gold as well.

beside, i imagined your guitar with chrome, and it doesnt seem to fit very well.

The ESP on the headstock isn't really gold, more of vintage white color
