My girlfriend, who has a number of wild guitars I might add, bought a MH-100QT because she wanted something that looked cool, played great... and was cheap and expendable.... a beater, to keep her other more expensive guitars from getting bashed.

Wow, was I impressed. It's a great looking guitar, fit and finish. It has a lovely real quilt top (a thin veneer I suppose) in a great deep green color. It plays great and sounds pretty cool too. I put a fresh set of strings on it, and there's no reason you couldn't play 'The Gardens' with it.

Always liked the MH400 too, but just hate the black headstock... Why do the cheaper Ltd's have matching headstocks and the more expensive once dont...

Hers has a black headstock. I think the one above does too.

I have a Mh-100, but not with Quilted Top, but I think it's a good axe indeed for metal...just love it. someday I'll change the pick ups though

while i havent seen a new 07 mh400 in person, why would it be any different from my guitar? (other than the obvious lack of trem)

the non matching headstock is the only thing that I hate 'bout my guitar...hell...I'm just planning to cover the body with stickers so I no one will see the original color

Funny, her Green MH-100QT has a black headstock, while a blue/ish one (not very nice looking IMHO) at the shop has a color matched headstock.
