can anybody tell me something about these? mid 90's, i want to buy one but i don't know the value of a mint one, or what they even sold for back in the day..

They usually sell for $500-700 on ebay, probably a bit more for a mint example or one with a rare color. I'm not sure what they sold for new, but they were probably around $1200 if I had to guess.

They had a few different models, most with alder bodies, maple necks with either a maple or rosewood board, old Kluson-style or Sperzel locking tuners, and either ESP or Duncan pickups. They were referred to as either the 400 series, Vintage, or Vintage Plus models. Even the old Eclipse guitars were tele shaped.

you are my hero. all ive got is a dumb 05 kh-2 vintage, 96 gibson expo, 93' dual rec sitting on a 1960ax... i want a rack!

Hello,

Does anyone know how to date by serial number, the tele's and the strats from the original ESP Vintage Plus (Made in Japan) series?
