I've had my 6505+ for a while now with stock tubes and I wanted to swap them out for something better. Not that I don't like the stock tubes I think they sound good, but I know there are better tubes available. The only place I've looked at was eurotubes.com. Anyone have any other suggestions?
I play through a Mesa Recto 2x12, which kicks major ass I just got it this week. It is way better than the Crate cab I had before.
JJ 6l6's are supposed to be one of the best. I have never used them though. I just use Groove Tubes.

JJ make the absolute worst preamp tubes, not only are they dull and lifeless, they have a very short work life. Try checking some online dealers who carry more then one brand and get an unbiased view.

I personally like high-gain graded 12AX7's from JJ and 6L6's from JJ in my 5150II. They sound better to me than the Mesa and EH preamp tubes I've tried, and way better than the Ruby and Sovtek powertubes I've had in there.

i really like my jj tubes on my blue voodoo but maybe they do have a short life span because i replaced them all and then like two months later i replaces the preamp tube because it went out or maybe it was just bad luck.

JJ6L6 for the Power amp
Tung-Sol reissue 12ax7 and Chinese 12ax7 for the pre are sweet!
Tubes matched and balanced of course.

You should get 10-20 years off a quality set of preamp tubes. Two months for JJs, not suprised. If people keep supporting crap manufactures, they'll keep making crap.
