Hey

The shop I'm working at is really lacking when it comes to practice amps. We only sell traynors and they aren't great at all.

We're looking for a versatile line of practice amps (10-30w solid state) with a good bang for the buck.

Cubes and vox hybrids are out of the question since the other store in town sells them.

Thanks!

well in that case, with cubes and vox out....

uhm...marshall & crate I would think. Behringer? I can't even really think of any other brands that do affordable practice amps that are at least decent.

Oh yeah, line6 spiders.

Randall VMax 30 or Randall RX30... they have a newer version of the VMX30 based on the V2, you might want to check that one out too

peavey classic series? Not sure what they go for or how they are though, just remember seeing them around and hearing good words.

Thanks for the imput guys!

The manager isn't interested in line6 at all and doesn't want to stock their higher end models.

Randall and orange could be pretty interesting though... We're going to check that out.

Marshall is out of question too. We sell them in our other store and people have a shitload of problems with them so we don't want to sell them anymore.

I would go with some of the peaveys. The bandit series always seems to sell and they sound pretty damn good, too. Others to consider are the marshall MG series.

I would suggest the orange crush series.. Laney sell some very good low end amps aswell

So basically, you refuse to sell all the really good practice amps?

Ok...?

We can't sell them... I didn't say we didn't want to.

The other shop in the city sells them.

Roland Microcube. 'nuff said.

If you can afford a cube 30, its basicly the same damn thing, but with a 3-band eq instead of the single "tone" knob.

If you can't sell Vox or Cubes and [quote="The manager isn't interested in line6 at all"
/quote] then why even bother selling amps. I guess Peavey and Crate:x or if you dont mind making peeps pay more for less = Fender

If I went into a shop and they didnt carry Vox, Cubes or Line 6, I turn around, leave and NEVER go back.

We can't sell them... I didn't say we didn't want to.

The other shop in the city sells them.

If you can't carry the best practice amps, then don't bother carrying any.

idpmofo is kinda right man. It would be wierd as fuck to walk into a regular (read- not boutique) guitar shop and not see those brands. I dont know if I'd necessarily immediately leave and never come back...if the rest of the shop is good then the rest of the shop is good. It would just throw me off to see a bunch of practice amps....but not see any practice amps...

Boinz

so just cause you have certain brands in the city, means you can't sell them in this other store?
