anyone who's played both?
the ESP apparently is made with better quality, but i want something maybe more cost-efficient too. i know i have my personal preferences, but what did you guys think of the ones you played?
give me some critiques...maybe what you thought of the sounds out of the pickups, how comfortable it was to play, anything that could help. i havent gotten the chance to play one, and im new, so that's why i'm asking.

depends which ltd viper you talking about the viper-50 is pretty crappy while the viper-400 or 1000 would be closer to the actual ESP. But no Ltd can compare to an ESP. the best thing you should do is go play them and see which one you like.

is this a joke?

comparing an esp to and ltd is like comparing some great to something not a great...

The ESP is better in ever possible way... sound, quality of wood, hardware, finish, better, hand crafted in Japan.

theyd both be the same confort wise cause they are both the same shape.

if you have the money get the ESP

but if your playing live and are worried about damaging your expensive guitar prehaps a LTD 400 would be best...

or dont just a cluts and lookj after the esp....

of course an ESP is better... but thiers nothing that u cant do with an LTD.. you can get the tone you want, and top notch playability... you can do anything you want on a low/mid range guitar.. but its personal preference that means you would want a high end guitar.

I've played a 400 / 1000 and esp UC version. the 400 had seymore duncan pu which sounded very good. the 1000 got emg's which sounded awesume, but the esp version just knocked them all over. the weight, neck, finish, sound....

the 1000 is very nice, but i think it's better to keep saving money and go for the real deal.
