What would you guys think of a 7 string V? Something like a V 500 7 string. Does anybody think this could be a possible 2008 model?

A V507 would be awesome.

As for it being a possibility for next year..
I would eat my hat if they brought one out between now and the next 10 yrs.

I don't think a 7 string Vee would be a big hit. I remember when Squier and Epiphone joined the band wagon and Epiphone released a 7 string Vee. I played one a few months ago and it was SHIT!

Yeah well :P..
1: It didn't look crash hot. Ok that's my opinion.. but gah.
2: Only 22 frets
3: Set-neck mahogany + 7 strings = dodgy resistance to tension (24.75 scale length though)

A bolt on V-507 surely would be a hit.. I think I speak for many when I say: it would be highly desirable.

Surely? :P

I think the whole 7 string craze is happening again because the 7 strings released in early 2000 are dirt cheap now. I found an Ibanez RG Gio 7 string for $100us and M307's/H307's are going for $300-500

I don't doubt it's desirable but IMO I don't see it happening. But I've been wrong.

I share that opinion.. how many 7 string production flying Vs have there been ever.. *sigh* ESP or LTD probably won't ever make one.

I respect Epiphone for having the balls to do it.

Luckily for me I don't really want a 7 string atm

As far as i'm concerned theres nothing wrong with that. It also helps to know what your talking about before you speak. I've posted many other things that have nothing to do with 2008 models.

I would love a V-507 and would sell my H-307 for one, but I can't see them making one. Maybe an M and MH 507.

Agree, More likely to see an m/mh 7string than a V... but hey as long as they've got cockstocks im happy :lol

Be careful what you ask for, there could be a realease of one on the Stef line of sigs with the Tele-7.

The cock-stock was one of the best looking headstock's ever. I'm still confused as to why they discontinued it.

Me too, I mean...I don't see a good enough reason for doing it.. I mean, the guitars equipped with cockstocks sell good, so thats just another reason to keep them in production.. But..Who knows what we're getting in 08 :lol

All 2 of them (the 2 Page sigs).

Inside the US anyway, some of the Japanese and non-US models still have the cockstock.

I agree with all you guys that it would never happen, but it would be so damn cool if they did. I actually play better with a V style guitar, so 7 string and V went hand in hand with me.

I love 7's. I think my next guitar will be a custom shop ESP 7-string. I still have one of the H-207 Ltd's; They were pretty nice for the price! Not a Universe, mind you, but still nice. Hmmmn. I should throw some new pickups into that thing, and do some work on it...

A 200 series, 6-string version of that with the same tilted headstock his 7's have and It's mine!

um... I'm kinda asking a bit too much, ain't I?

Cockstocks are not my preference on 6s, but on 7s the unbalanced look (3x4) seems to fit better.

Damn sexy I wish it had a normal neckpickup and a floyd. I wouldn't mind a MH 507 with a floyd either 8)
