yea i know g strings are always acting up but recently its been worse than ever. I cant keep it in tune for even 1 song and iv got a band tryout this saturday and the song uses a lot of octaves with the g string so it needs to be in tune at least for 1 song

Have you changed strings lately? Checked the intonation?
Maybe time for new strings and setup. Otherwise, is the saddle tight and solid? Is the tuning machine head tight?

^+1. Also, I find that one my V500 before I widened the nut slots, whenever I would use heavy gauge strings, the g would always a bit out of tune. If you use heavier strings, try widening the nut a little.

unlikely , but u could just have a bad string .
or if u havent changed them for ages , then thats probably it . but yeah , if they're new strings it might just be bad luck
get Big Bendz Nut sauce. You put it in the nut slot and on the saddle. It's lubricant that will prevent the string from getting stuck.
