Standard Series Viper Truss Rod Issue

When recently setting up my ESP Standard Series Viper, I noticed that the truss rod was alot harder to turn than on my gibsons and PRS. Is this normal? Doe esp guitars have stiffer truss rods?

it depends, maybe if you have never adjusted it before, or if you have very tense or thick strings. or your tuning. or the length of your neck.
