well, Ive had my valveking for quite a long time, Ive got to 212 combo. I love the amp, but there's one thing that's kind of weird. If you have ever seen the VK, on the lead channel there is a Gain Boost button and a Volume Boost button. The gain button works as it should, but when I push in the volume buttion, nothing changes. The volume stays the same. Has anybody else ever had this happen? And do you know why? Thanks in advance if you can help me.

I bought mine second hand so didnt get the manual with it, check the peavy site for it, as that may explain how it works.
I'd assume that you need to do something to make it work similar with what you have to do to make the footswitch change channels....
I've never used it personally but I can see it coming in handy live...
infact i'll look it up myself to see how its done...

I own a valveking (head version). The volume boost doesn't work unless the amp is turned up past 5.

that explains why I havent ntoiced it doing antyhing lately, thanks for that, figuresthat it only works after 5 but why that couldnt be in the manual is beyond me, still it'll be usefull for live aplications...

I'm guessing thats the whole idea to just raise it a few db's for a solo boost, i'll give it a try too and post my findings...
