what's the difference i heard that esp's are american made and that ltds are from japan or something can some one please clarify this! thanks!

ESP = Japan
Ltd = Korea, China & Indonesia

ESP = Good
Ltd = Not so good

I prefer to call it
ESP= great
LTD= very good

I think Korea makes 400+ LTDs and Indonesia makes the others.

I hope they dont make any in China. China cant make anything w/o it getting recalled.

nope, sub-400 LTD's were moved to China, according to the mod... one of the Korean manufacturers moved to China, so, there they took the production of some LTD's

I've seen many recently produced 200 series sigs made in China as well

Any LTD under the 400 mark is shit unless its being used as an entry level guitar.
I find that the LTD 400 series are great; I have an LTD V500, and its an awesome guitar. ESP's are a different story in terms of quality and craftsmanship in any case.

I have an older Korean F-205 and many people with older 200 and 300 series will agree with me that they're up to par quality-wise if not better (maybe not feature-wise, tho) than the newer 400 series

i wouldnt say they are shit, my EX-100 is still one of the best playing guitars ive played

and I agree with you... well, I wouldn't say nowadays 200 and below series are bad guitars, absolutely decent for what they cost, but the ones I've played (I own a B-155 bass as well) are inferior to 400 and, in my opinion, older 200 and 300 series

now like chum said if your comparing an LTD M-50 to an ESP M-2 or M-2 Custom shop, you have a point but if your comparing an LTD to a squire or epiphoney, many of the LTD's shit on them....:D
