File size is set to 100k. That shouldn't be an issue. The size is 80x80 and I think it works. 100 is too obnoxious and 40 too small.

Those and all other icons you see (new posts, etc). They are transparent gifs with the fringe set against a light background. They would all have to be done to look good against a dark background. Basically a whole new set of transparent gifs.

Not bad, Drew. The font could be centered and simpler (like the ones now). Since those ones would appear only on a black background, they don't need the transparency. It'll look nicer if the edges were antialiased as well.
