View Full Version : Is this Custom shop?
Hi there, this is my first post.I have a repair business in upstate NY.
This came in for a new jack and toggle and I really like this guitar.
Is it a custom shop or is "custom" also used in a general?
I've played a few ESP's over the years but none have lit me up like this one.I'm curious if this is something common to find or a higher end model?
Thanks.....

It's a custom. I believe someone on the board owns one.
I *think* it was a custom modeled after one of the dudes from Queensryche's guitar?
I could be wrong on that, but there was an 80's player who used a guit like this, and I've seen a handful of customs made like that.

it's not someone's personal custom order, it's a custom series.

Yea, that was a 1991 Custom model, not too many were made. I happen to have one. Michael Wilton of the Ryche did use a couple different guitars with that graphic back in the Empire days. There were a few variations of that paint scheme, all were painted by a guy named Gene Harrison for ESP. No two are the same, since they started as black guitars and were sent to Gene who painted them with gel pens, and then ESP cleared over the graphic. There weren't many made, that's for damn sure. Looks like the one you have has had some stickers added... wonder what's hiding underneath.
Here's mine:

Those are pretty sick
Cool,thanks everyone.
I'm not sure what's under the pink "Jacks" sticker but the other one is just covering the hole where the tone control was.He just has a volume in there now.
So are all M-II Customs pretty much the same quality?
