2. could i put a gibson 500t ceramic pickup in it?

Dont Get a Gibson ceramic pickup, those are terrible get a Duncan, Dimarzio or ________ (insert brand here) pickup with alnico magnets. If you want high output go high output. Don't throw your money away on rubbish that Gibson gets away with selling simply because they made good guitars 40-50 years ago.
