Hey d00dz,
I was in a pawn shop today and I saw this Laney 2x12 combo sitting there for $300. I did not have my guitar with me, nor did I feel like taking one of the pieces of firewood off the wall to plug into it.
Before I go back, I would like to know: Is this thing worth the $300 they're asking?
I had a Marshall AVT that I LOVED, it was along the same lines, with a tube preamp and an SS poweramp. It was pretty reliable. I also know how reliable Laneys are, and I've been looking for a 2x12 combo for a while.
Anyone had one of these? Any clips floating around?
Thanks.

Take that $300 and put it towards something really good, instead of getting another cheapo amp...

I'd hold off until you can get yourself a krank rev jr pro or somethin.

Are those the Tube Fusion ones? It's been a while since I played one, but I remember not exactly digging it... a bit fizzy and hissy/noisy too.
I like the AVT's better... but scoring an older Randall G2 for about the same price would be MUCH better, IMO.

They actually have an older G2 sitting there. I hadn't really thought about it, I don't even think I looked at the price...

Give those a check, man. I really like them. The cleans are decent and the distortion is HUGE, but TIGHT.

lol... I saw a 5150 on CL for $500 bucks a couple days ago... hit that up and score a cheap 4x12 cab. How's that for jam worthy?

I agree, I have a TF700 head that I have had for a while. Its ok but it not great, since I got my Lionheart head I have not pluged it in once.

Gave it a shot, it sounds fucking GREAT. They want too much though, so atleast I know what they sound like.
