So, I only recently managed to get my pedals down onto my pedal board, and get them all linked up.

I'm having problems with getting a half decent sound out of my Crybaby bass wah. When I put it in front of my distortion and overdrive, I get an extremely harsh sound, with no feel whatsoever. When I put it after the distortion and overdrive, the sound is too synthy for me.

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong, and to prove the fact that I'm 3/4 dumbass?

wah pedals are usually the first in the effect chain before your amp. You might need to adjust the eq of your distortion/overdrive effects to get the best sound. I use a George Dennis guitar wah in front of a Boss bass overdrive pedal and get a killer bass sound.
Not much help I know, but you just need to experiment. Try using a little less gain in your distortion.
