So who else is disappointed at the Jon Donais Sig?

When I first read the article about Jon Donais from Shadows Fall switching to ESP, I thought he was gonna get a cool signature series. But yesterday I found a picture of it on the ESP site (http://www.espguitars.com/news/news_jon.html), and it's exactly the same as his Washburn, except he has a reverse headstock... I'm probably going to buy it anyway, haha...

Its not a rip off.Its his OWN shape. Like Mike Amott from arch enemy's ninja. He designed it and obviously loves it cause now esp made the same thing for him.

the washburn ver is way cooler, I wonder if esp will also equip this baby with abm hardtail and buzz feiten tuning system.jon had the ultimate guitar ,I think he just switched for the money esp offered.the flame maple on the washburn is also done way better.since I cant find the washburn ver I guess Ill have to wait for this one.bummer

Watch Ebay for the Face Erasers, they seem to be going for cheap money lately (less than $1500). Another great alternative is the X35 import version of the USA model... I am blown away by the quality and playibility of mine! I am in the process of swapping out the Head Hunter stock pu's for an EMG 85/81 combo and I already added Sperzels, but it's been the guitar I've been playing out with lately and I love it.

On the flip side, I would love for LTD to make a sig version of Jon's ESP guitar... since I don't think I can shell out $2500+ for the custom shop version.

I know dude I played the older ex50 pro fe and was stunned!!!
these guitars just have that added quality.I think only esp custom ver can come close to its quality.its really a shame he left.hope washburn will maybe go on producing some kind of
new knock off version of the x-81.I doubt esp ver will have buzz feiten system , sperzel locking tuners & abm hardtail for the same price.

I think they can sell the Face Eraser as is, maybe with a different model name...but it never had Jon's name written anywhere on it so I doubt they'd run into any legal trouble. The only thing I can see is maybe the body shape, since it's slightly different from my X35's body... I'd actually like it better if they used the body that the X35 has!

to be honest there are some differences like the switch type and placement, the different headstock and body shape... others specs should be similar
