Carvin Subs

Anyone ever used or know someone that has used the Carvin LSx1802 subwoofers? I am planning on upgrading to dual subs from my now single Peavey 118s. I have just recently used the Carvin 15" monitors and loved them...I will be buying a 4 of those. The Carvin subs come as a package deal with the amps, cables and speakers for $2,199.99 which I though was a pretty good deal. Any thoughts?

I've heard bad things about Carvin PA gear. I have no personal experience with it, but I was advised by the professionals I talked to to avoid Carvin and seek out better brands, like Yamaha Club, Mackie, or JBL.

I did have a pair of Yamaha club 118s and promptly blew them up. :(

I'm quite sure it was no fault of the product but I don't think the Yamahas don't give you much room for mistakes. My peaveys on the other hand have held up rather well. I'm looking for bang for the buck.
