Another amp question (plz don't angry)

Ok I am sure you guys must be sick of my amp threads, but I have yet another question. I am curious about the 50 watt ENGL heads (The Thunder and Screamer), but I want to know a few things about them. How loud are they? Are they as loud as a single recto? And also, is there tone akin to other ENGL heads? And finally, how much gain do you have on tap with those heads?

i can't answer those but owned a powerball and fireball, the fireball is 60 watts and is plenty loud and has tons of distortion on tap. i don't think lack of volume would be an issue with any engl.

check reviews online, but ime one amp model by a company may or may not sound like another amp model by that company. my stiletto is nothing at all like a recto. my shiva was nothing like my uberschall.

jmo, i've had better tonal results using
- a good sounding amp with not enough gain + an od pedal,
than
- an amp with tons of gain but didn't sound that stellar
