I'm looking to purchase an LTD MH-250, and have a few questions.
If in the future I decide I want an Original Floyd Rose bridge, how difficult would it be to install?
Also, how difficult would it be to upgrade the pickups to an EMG 81/85 set?
Thanks!

Swapping pickups would be easy...although finding a spot to keep the 9v battery could be a little tricky.

Thanks for your reply. After thinking about it, I'll probably just keep the stock pickups.
I keep hearing how much better the Original Floyd Rose is over the Licensed Floyd Rose bridge.
If the Licensed Floyd Rose works well for me, I'll just stick with that as well.

why not better save up for a 400 series?

I could do that. However, I think the MH-250 might meet my needs.
I'll have to think about it. Thanks!

if you want the active emgs go for the 400 series. For the price to buy and install the EMGs into a 250, you could upgrade to a 400 with a mahagony body and active EMGs.

Word... after upgrading the Floyd($100+) and EMG's($150+) it'd just be wiser to buy a MH400 or MH1000. The Licensed Floyd Rose isn't really all that bad and it does the job but, they do feel cheap.
