New Eclipse II snow white

Got this guitar a bit under a month ago. I meant to post pics sooner, but couldn't find my camera cable.

I bought it from DCGL and they were great to deal with. Answered all my emails and always kept me updated on the status. Every other place I talked to said it'd take months to get one in to ship to me.

I've had the guitar for about a month and I have to say... It's one of the best playing guitars I've owned. I used to own a Les Paul Custom in alpine white and it was a great guitar. This guitar outplays it. I don't have the Les Paul anymore or even the same stack I had, so I can't compare plugged in sound, but this thing sounds great. I've played it through a couple stacks and it's nice and bright but still has that beefy low end. I really wish I still had my Fender deluxe amp to see how the clean tones compare.

All in all, it's a great guitar. I can't see one thing wrong with it and I'd recommend a standard series ESP to anyone looking for a great all around guitar. I'm not usually into EMGs but they sound good. I used to have a guitar with a L500xl and I'd love to see how one of those sounds in this guitar. But it sounds great as is.

I like the contrast between the black and the white. I think if I did anything it would be some real black hardware. If I can even find any.


I like the tuners a lot. The gears seem to be really consistent. The sperzels on my old EC-1000 would seem to jump from each quarter turn having little effect to having a huge effect.

The contrast is great. I got mine for 1500 then paid 75 for a case and 20 for strap locks from DCGL. Not a bad price. I remember thinking I'd never be able to get one when they were 1800. It doesn't seem like that much of a difference now, but it really put the idea that they were out of my range in my head.

I'm really glad I got one. Love the neck and feel. Fits really well with the way I like it to hang from the strap.

If you're sure you want this kind of guitar, get it. Totally worth the price. I'd go so far as saying it's more guitar than you pay for. Seems that way to me at least.

But on your problem about committing to spending that much money... I understand. And if you're not sure this is the type of guitar you want, I'd hold off.

Nice. My snow white eclipse is my favorite to play outta my 5 ESPs and 2 of those 5 are custom shop! I love the feel of the ebony board.
