Alrighty thanks M-II NT it is. the other m-II i meant was the Maple fretboard one. but i was leaning for the NT anyways. does it come with a case? or do u have to buy that seperately.

Some dealers throw in the case for free..but it's usually sold separately.

I wish the MII had at least a tone pot. 2 vol wud be better too.
They should also do a M series with a fixed or a tone pros bridge

Well in 2006 the case was included with all standard esp's, which caused a price hike which people bitched about(which was fucking stupid). Then in 07 they lowered their prices and now you have to buy a case separately. I honestly don't get people. First they wanted hardshell cases to be included (which of course you're gonna pay for it!). So esp thru in the case but increased their prices. Then people bitched about!

No they jacked up the prices more than the cost of the case.
Thats why people were upset.

Go with which one you like the most I've played the neck through with emgs and it's nice but the twin 81's arent my first choice of pickups...
I'm pretty sure you could order the nt with a maple board I am pretty sure I remember seeing this on the options on the export page on esps japan site....
allthough I dont think that the enck through should bias your view it might have slightly better access but both would be great guitars...

man, get the neck through. I love maple fretboards, but I think the rosewood complements the mII better than the maple. It just blends better with the black and makes it look sinister IMO. Although, I do believe there are only 3 options for that guitar, atleast here in US, only the M-II neckthrough with Rosewood, or the M-II bolt on with Rosewood, or the Maple M-II bolt on.

They're both high quality products.............Play both and see which one you like better..........Fingerboard and pickups and neck feel will be different :D :D :D

Yeah they did, i bought an Eclipse for 1300 and the next year it was 1700. I think if they just woulda raised the price 100 for the case, people wouldnt have cared.

i really want to try them out but theres no ESP dealers near my area i only have a Guitar Center and a Sam Ash. i doubt Sam Ash would Carry High end ESP's
TheDarkOne

Just order online. BTW, I think Sam ash is a licensed ESP dealerh so they should carry SOME high end models, if not, go talk to one of the employees and get them to order one you want so you could try it out.

I do work too hard...need more time to play guitars.:o
I have been thinking about an M-I or perhaps, better yet, an M-II (as I'd prefer the double humbkrs and the original floyd). I have the new MH-1000 LTD Deluxe black quilt, but still want something from the ESP line. and the M-I and M-II seem to be the 2 I am most interest in (based on design, $$, etc.)
Is the M-II the real deal?
That M-II custom kicks a--...nice. Sometimes I line pick guards and sometimes not - I definitely like it there - sweet
I have a Sam Ash and Guitar Ctr. close by. Sam Ash is an ESP dealer. I have talked to them before about ordering ESP models they don't have in their store and they have always helped me out. Or you could try from some on-line catalog if that's your only way.

Actually I don't work hard at all. I know how to budget my money really well. :)
Is the M-II the real deal?
What do you mean by that?
We all need more time to play.....
Just meant - Can anone state what kind of quality ax is it. I think it must be pretty good, but just looking for more confirmation is all (quality, playability, etc.)

Oh I see. Of course its good bro! Have you ever read a bad review on an ESP?! To answer your question, the quality is amazing and unmatched, plays like a dream(thanks to the silky smooth satin clear coat on the back of the neck) and finish is great! It would take a lot of abuse to get the paint to chip.

Yeah, ice6, I was looking for a new axe myself and have been researching. Being that I'm a shredder, I was intially seduced by the Ibanez Prestige line. Although I have been a bit dissapointed by them, by that I mean, I have been hearing some not-so-good reviews about their guitars, and actually, I'm a member on the Ibanez forum, and A LOT of members over there were telling me about how the ESP standard line blows the Ibanez prestige line out the water as far a price and construction quality. I haven't really found a bad ESP review yet, and the quality seems to be very high. Actually, with all the research I've done, I'm almost settled on the MII being my next axe. To be totally honest with you, I really wanted the ibanez, but ESP quality and playability just came out on top :)
Yes, I recently picked up an Ibanez JS 1000 - Black Pearl. It's definitely a nice guitar but now that I have it I guess I did not want it as badly as I thought I did, as I still want the damn M-II. Now I've got to try to sell a basically brand new hardly played JS 1000, to start getting together the cash for the M-II (NTB with EMGs) not the bolt on (my personal preference). But am also eyeing the GL-56 reissue (I know quite a bit different form the M-II but still something I am considering)......

Damn, Im getting the bolt on. Its hard enough to even get that for me actually, I'm in college and work a shitty part time job, although I have an interview for this Surveillance job at Meijer. Pays like 11$ /hour which is f'in sweet for me. But yeah, I doing pretty much what your doing now too, trying to gather my cash etc... I have about 800$ in the bank right now and a little cash in my wallet for gas and etc.. How close are you too getting it?
I could throw it on a credit card tomorrow if I wanted to but don't really want to do that (been doing that too much with other stuff). I'd probably need to get the Ibanez JS sold first (or my wife might kick my a-- otherwise).
If the axe is really what's important to you, then you'll save up the cash and get it in due time.
Might sell the MH 1000 LTD Deluxe as well....
I'd like to get the M-II (NTB) and the gl-56 reissue - if I could make that happen, those would probably be my guitars for awhile; I don't like to keep changing but as Jim Root and Mick Thompson once said, guitars are like crack to me. No matter how many I had, I suppose to some degree, I'd still be going to the music stores, looking on line, etc. at all the other axes out there.

How much for the JS1000???
I have not thought of a price but since I have had it less than 2 months, have hardly played it, and it's pristine condition, and retail (and street price) I'd like to get a grand ($1,000.00) out of it.

MII Urban Camo. The best metal guitar I've ever played.
So I'd go neck through and Ebony if you can get it. Its all down to preference though I suppose.
