Is this right. My ESP LTD V 200 the knob closest to the switch is the neck volume control and the closest volume knob to the neck is the bridge volume control. Is this right?? dmathiso1@yahoo.com

I checked them again and it seems weird the neck volume knob is closest to the switch and the knob closest to to the neck is the bridge volume knob.

I think I had a viper 301 like that once. Its an easy to fix if bugs you.

There is nothing wrong with the guitar. All ESP's whether a DV/V or Eclipse are wired this way...This is usually common sense wiring for alot of people since the bridge pickup is most of the time the pickup selected for rhythms and such and reaching for the closest knob to shut off the guitar in a hgh-volume setting is easier than trying to quickly grab the one in the middle or elsewhere.

I think the exception to the rule is something like the KH's. I think their knobs are oriented in line, not reversed... But I have alot of ESP's, and they are like yours is... :)

My Ninja600 has knobs corresponding to the pick-up layout.....front volume....front pick-up (neck) rear volume is rear pick-up (bridge). I thought it would be wierd not having the closest knob as the bridge volume, but it's fine actually.

going slightly off-topic...

dmathiso1, how does your v200 play? What's the neck like? What's the build quality like? Is there enough fret access? Is it neck-heavy? How does it sound for metal, rock, clean etc?

I'm thinking about getting one of these myself
