is it just me, or are the "edges" where the body meets the neck sticking out farther than usual

Exactly my thoughts. It looks like a mix of the Trivium guitar and that of Gary Holt (?) of Exodus.
In any case, it's ugly. :x :x :x

im not real keen on it either, but there are people that just love it..
comes from the factory tuned to like C, and plays really well...
When the V standard I have on order comes in, I will give a comparison (as they are kinda in the same price range)

anyways, The Demmel V came before the Trivium sig..
And That trivium guys sig actually looked really good, but legal issues or something made him change it, and now its hideous. there was a thread, anyone see?

larger post count does not = larger penis on the interwebz or otherwise. hell it's not even close to having street cred.
that demmelition is allright.
as for where the neck meets the body, no it is not sticking out farther than usual.. I mean,, usual compared to what?
fwiw, the original 1958 v had a body/nek joint similar to that... but even larger.

compared to the KV2, it just isn't as streamlined...just thought it was weird because most jacksons are similar

phil designed that guitar a long time ago AFAIK. but it just now is in production.
He designed it along the same time as the Razorback 4 years ago, from what i understand.
