I own a MT-2 and i know its a piece of crap. I also own a Viper 400 with emgs. Is there any pedal that I should buy?

I play stuff like A7X, Old atreyu (The curse and Suicide notes and butterfly kisses), a little bit of Bullet For My Valentine and As I lay Dying.

Sell your amp, get a used 5150 combo or a used ENGL Thunder or Screamer combo.

Seriously its a decent amp you need, not a new pedal.

:)

EDIT: but really, multi-effects pedalboard maybe? Or actually selling and buying a new amp would be better lol +1 to Imperium

yeah man try to save up for a real tube amp. You will really be satsified with it. Pedal tone may satisfy you today but tomorrow you will hear someone who sounds much better and you will want something new. It can go on forever.

aaaanyway... I don't think a pedal on its own will get you that kind of tone... seems to me what you need is either a Maxon OD 808 as a boost for a tube head and a 4x12 cab with V30's OR a little something called POD X3 :D

the Line 6 Uber Metal is pretty sweet.. 2 different distortions (2 modes anyway, you can get loads of different sounds by messing with the settings) and a built in noise gate. You can get some nice souns from that. Play with the settings for a while and you should get something you like out of it. I like it a lot better than my Metal Zone and the noise gate is pretty neat too

A Boss GT-10 Solves all problems, a big tube amp is optional :P

5150 - valveking and become professional , none of those artist use pedals

Seympur Duncan Twin Tube MAYHEM. Enough said about pedals. Most musicians tone that people are trying to emulate use all-tube amps. This is a great alternative to make their solid-state amps sound like tube amps.

podxt is cheap now, get that. You will get the tones you seek. You save up, and buy a nice amp
