Has anyone ever seen an Eclipse Custom in Trans Black? Does it really look purple in person or only in pictures? Same finish as this one:

looks more purple than "black"... depends on the maple i suppose, some are white some are very yellowish... look at the kh-20s... nice

The photos from DCGL were taken outside in direct sunlight. Nearly all the trans-black guitars I have seen or owned give off this purple-ish color when under extreme light.

One way you can kinda get an idea for it in these photos is look at the EMG's. Most of us know EMG pickups look black in person and when you put a light directly on them they give that faded grey look.

ESP MANIAC, Thanks brother,

You can really see the difference in those pics. It only looks a little purplish in direct sunlight. In the non-direct pics it looks black. Very Nice guitar collection by the way!! Thanks a million for posting those pics. ;)

The ESP STBK is indeed a little purplish, but I still feel it loks awesome!

The Jackson is basically a Custom. It was made after the SLAT-QH was stopped in standard USA production and they started making them exclusively in the custom shop. So, Yes it is a custom, just not a custom order.

holy shit nice jackson dude

and that horizon is fucking amazing i think im goona get somthing similar to that in my price range

one thing i dont like about custom eclipses is how they lack the binding on the top. i think that adds a lot when they have it. otherwise, nice eclipse too

one thing i dont like about custom eclipses is how they lack the binding on the top.

They do...

They have a fake natural binding....
The Blue LP style is not an ESP
