Decided that I either want an Edwards alexi(not pink) or a Jackson RR24.
Both have an alder body,OFRs,ebony fingerboard,24 frets, made in japan, neckthroughbodys, and look kickass. However the jackson is more expensive but come with gotohs(non-locking)and doesn't have outrageous shipping to america(120 xtra bucks wtf!!!).
just wanted to know your opinions thanks.:D

I have not played an edwards one, but the RR24 is a great guitar. the LTD aint bad either though. I think the RR24 is a little nicer than the LTD, then the ESP one, but they are all gonna be fantastic.

so i guess the edwards one is between the LTD and teh ESP, so it will prolly fall right in line with the Jackson RR24..

I do know where you can get a white RR24 though

I sold one, and the guy lost his job, he is looking to get rid of it. CHEAP...

Also there is an Alexi For sale on the Megadeth Boards... I will see if he is still trying to get rid of it. Its in almost new shape.

just to let you know dude, the RR24 doesn't come with Gotoh tuners if you were buying from a store, so unless they arent extra, they arent there. Also why not check out the LTD Alexi model? it has all of your *wanted features* and its a kickass guitar

I think you should seriously try the Alexi..

here is why.

Although the RR24 comes with "real" EMG, the Alexi has the (unless you get one that has a blackout in it) easier change pickup wise if you want a passive sound other than the HZ.

They do sound really good with a X2N.

actually I love all emgs the just sound great to me but to go try out any esp I have to go a long way(about 50 miles)to the nearest esp dealer

the RR24 is nothing like the RR1, but technically, its still a sig model...

for what its worth, being a jackson fanboi, the alexi's neck is supposedly more comfortable. I dont care for either neck, but most people say that the alexi has an AWESOME neck and the RR24 is just "ok"

I've only played the Alexi 600, and the RR1, but if the quality of the RR24 is anything like the quality of the RR1, I would personally go Jackson over LTD. As for the Edwards versus the RR24, that's a harder one, I think you'd be happy either way you go.

I think it's like Les Paul.

It's trascended the artist and has become it's own identity.

It's trascended the artist and has become it's own identity.

Not to mention Rhoads never got the chance to be known for playing it, or even provide feedback on the two prototypes he had. For all we know, he thought they sucked ass. The RR's like the Les Paul in that it's named for the one involved in its design, though with the Rhoads, it's more of a posthumous tribute.

id go for edwards than rr24, edwards is better quality wise. Imo jackson quality below usa is kinda ehhh...
