okay, so yesterday my new pre-amp arrived, a Rocktron Chameleon"on-line", and before i go buying Midi footswitches and other stuff, how does it all work? I've only tested out a few settings and i might have even stored some of them. Also, there is no FX loop... is this common on Pre-amps? If i wanted to add an EQ in there, do i just have to deal with putting it in front, or put it in between the pre-amp and poweramp as someone suggested? please help ! cause i'm clueless :o:o:o:o:o

FX loop is totally unnecessary, it goes between the preamp and power amp.
There is nothing to explain about MIDI. YOu connect it all together and plug in a footswitch. Wa-la.

so then the fx out goes into the power amp, right?

If you need help setting this up let me know. I'm running a ROcktron Voodu Valve preamp, almost the same thing you have. I can give you some pointers on it. YOu can also go to the ROcktron site and download a software editing thing that plugs into the system via mia-usb to edit you sounds, very helpful as Rocktron makes nothing easy to navigate, but sounds cool.

Yeah I have a moral problem with manuals... its like cheating. Its too easy if your looking at all the answers in some book. ;)

pfft, well if a manual CAME with it, i probably would've peered into it, but since no manual i wanted to see how far i could get without one....

i love how theres always some smartass answer like 'read the manuals' that always get thrown out there like 'oh i pwnd him'
dont you think people read the manuals and they DONT explain things as well as they should? Or maybe people should just keep their trap shut about gear they dont own, have experience with or know about. That way you dont say 'read the manual' when you have no knowledge to put forth.

good ole chevy...
this dude apparently has to read and memorize all manuals before touching the gear. sorry dude! i like to just tinker until i NEED the manual.
sadly enough, i've only gotten about 15 minutes of play time on this preamp so far because work/school/gf takes all time and no time for gutiar...YET

Did you download the manual for it? It's on there, you just have to hunt for it. If you can't find it, here is the link for it:

Is that thing a tube preamp? The Voodu valve, just curious but I think that is the only difference between the 2. Otherwise they look to have the same effects and everything else. Did you get a MIDI mate to go with it? It makes that thing much better to use on the fly.
