Im wanting a new guitar, preferably one to mod the crap outa, but have too many options what one would you go for???

Option 1: Musicman SUB 1 Guitar (£299)
Get probably the HH version, put in some Di Marzio D-Sonic/D-Activator or D-Sonic/Paf Joe pickups with a new pickgaurd, if I don’t get one with a nice enough colour I will get it refinished flat black.

Option 2: Ibanez RG320DXFM (£349)
New pickups, put in my now redundant JB with a new neck pickup like a Jazz or 59’, upgrade the trem from the Edge III to a new OFR as the Edge Pro and Edge ZR don’t go into a Edge III routing.

Option 3: ESP LTD EC-256 AVB or AHB (£ Not Avalable)
New pickups with a EMG 85/60 or Di Marzio D-Activator set, Tonepros and Groovers in a blackout as I have the parts readily available.

Option 4: ESP LTD GL-256 (£Not Avalable, probably £349-449)
New pickups with my redundant JB in the bridge for starters, Sprzel locking tuners and maybes a Fender USA Bridge to be added later on.

Option 5: Spector 4/5 string Bass (£299-379)
Just don’t spend any money on a guiar, save money for say a MH-1000 at a later date, and buy a Spector bass as I don t have one and I could then play bass as well as guitar again.

Thanks again.

I'd get those other guitars over the Sub1, I've never really felt "it" when playing those.

I would rather hunt for something else on ebay, there are better bang for the buck guitars out there...

Aren't those SUB 1's discontinued?

Sub 1s are discontinued, altho sleeping on it, i just may get a new bass as i want to play bass again, but i also may just put some money down on a ESP LTD MHB-400 or Viper-407 7 string.

I think the gl56 looks cool, however usa fender bridge likely wont fit without plugging and redrilling the holes...

The sub 1 is probbaly the best guitar there though...

Though those vintagey exlipses look good...

Play them when you can and see which one you like the feel/sound of most...

Ive got 2 new options now:

Option 6: Gibson Les Paul Studio
Replace the stock neck with a BKP Misisipi Queen, posibly the bridge with a BKP Miracle Man, blackout with Tonepros & Groover tuners, or just get Sperzels and a Tonepros TOM and leave the stock Stop Tail or get a vibrato stoptail, like this:

Or get a bridge that has a Piezeo in it so i can have accustic sounds and electric sounds in one axe.

Option 7: Gibson Les Paul BFG Silverburst
Keep hardware stock, but replace electrionics and re do wiring with traditional Les Paul style, put in my JB into the bridge, keep stock P90 in the neck.
