Hey fellows, i am looking for a good 30 W amp. Right now, the Line 6 Spider III is my first choice but some say that the Cube 30 would be a good choice. I have a shitty Peavy Express 112S (65 W) and i want something smaller to practice in a room.
Thanks for your time.
God Bless You

Your 2 choices seem good but you can't go wrong with the MarshallMG30DFX (sarcasm).

Randall!
I swear by their G2/G3 stuff, plus I've heard great things about their 30-watt version of the V-Max!:D
It's also like 150 bucks...

this one's a bit more expensive, but I'm sure it's a better bet as well

a Spider III of some sort would not be a bad idea either... the Cube as you mentioned, as well
or what budget are we talking about here? cause I might have to recommend you the Mesa Express 5:25
Hi,
I just picked up a Randall VMX 30 yesterday. Takes a little fine tuning but once you get it dialed in it ROCKS! I also have a 2006 Marshall AVT 20. I changed the speaker and it Rocks as well. It a Real Marshall made in England, not one of the shitty MG series. The Marshall and Randall are two different sounding amps. I also have a Marshall JCM 800 with a 1960A cab. I have two ESP Trucksters and a 1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom. I can't stand Line 6 amps, and I don't know about the cube, never played one.

Gee, thanks fellows.... I have heard that the Marshall MG was not worth it. Sup Rex..? The budget goes around 200$. :( Randall seems nice, and you know what, i didnt know that Randall made small amps. I guess i have alway associated MARSHALL / RANDALL / MESA with huge live amps.
Thanks Again.
God Bless You.

oh hey dude! good to have you back again!
yeah, Randall make some awesome combos... if you have the chance to stretch your budget a little, I suggest you try out the RG75 G2 or G3 combo... seriously, those Randall combos kick some serious ass!
RX's are decent for small combos, tho... as for anything bigger than a 30 watt, G3 RG's seriously PWNS them bad, tho... the good thing about RX's, IMO, is that even the small ones have the low end Randalls are known for... a buddy of mine's got the 20 watt RX and seriously, I was amazed at how much low end it pumped for such a small, low-wattage amp
to be honest, I don't know how much of an upgrade from your Peavey a Randall would be... I have no experience with the Peavey combo you mention, but I've heard some of the higher-end Peavey SolidStates and those are quite decent! The AVT as the other dude mentions before is pretty decent for a SolidState as well... well, in my opinion, but my rant with those is that I personally think they are WAY overpriced
my suggestion, tho, is to get something with a 12" speaker rather than a 10"... I think the Cube 30 has a 10"... oh, and try before you buy!
