I acquired a Viper 104 today.
I know nothing about them, did find it interesting it has a battery, although I'm not sure why it needs one.
And I find the control, the 4 knobs so far to be most confusing.
Most of all I am not impressed with the so called owners manual, the cheap skates didn't have to print a covers every model we make kind.
The 4 control knobs are like nothing I have ever run across, in a whole lot of years, and they dared to call them ordinary, I would say that a 3 way switch along with a volume and tone knob would be ordinary. It is going to take a long time for me to figured out/understand what these knobs really do since there is about zero explanation of them.

I hate it when companies assume everybody knows the same thing, as if they have been working for the company for years in building or repair.
That just shuts out people that are new to the brand.

If anyone out there can explain the 3 knobs that are not a volume control I would be mighty grateful.

Slaptop, this is a bass, not a guitar, hence no switch.
