What's the best way, if you can, repaint a Floyd Rose? Is it just as simple as taking the bridge out and spray painting it?
Thanks

if you're searching for maintainance, just look on the internet...google is your best friend ;)
and for the painting, I don't know if that works...I think it would, but I don't know it for shure!!!

As long as you're going black then there shouldn't be any real problems. Obviously chrome and gold paint will look like poo.

I would strongly advise against painting it. The parts won't fit together right, and won't move smoothly.

I touched up my Floyd Rose with rust-oleum black spray paint a couple weeks ago and let it dry in the sun for a few hours and it worked great. I just removed most of the screws and moving parts, it looks good but the paint scratches easy. I may have to do a few more coats and maybe a clear coat.

Unfortunately, that is about the best you can expect with paint. Black finishes with any real durability on metals are usually done in a baked-on powder coating or similar process.
