Heej guys,
I really liked the idea of a sheet with who has a ESP JH-3 on this board! Maybe we can do that with all the signatures of Hetfield that are limited...
ESP JH-1
ESP JH-2
ESP JH-3

They are. There were a couple JH-1's that showed up in the US with finish flaws. They sat around the warehouse a while, disassembled and awaiting refinishing. ESP relocated sometime around then, and the neck plates were misplaced. I managed to snag one of 'em up direct a few years go. The one I own is official, just don't know the number.
It kicks serious ass too...

Hey Mod can you find us out the full story on the JH-2's? Like even though the COA says 1-200 no one (i think) has ever seen one past 1-100; also what is up with the ones with no stamp, or ones with no stamp but a COA with a long 5 digit serial number? the story has been told to us be various people has been they made extras past the 1-100 or 1-200 and those where the non-stamped ones or ones with no COA at all? Thanks MOD!

Hi There!
I am also a bit lost with the various stories about the JH-2. I've got one JH-2 which does not have the stamp, but it came up with the COA and the five digit serial number (I bought this one in Germany). There is a stamp "made in Japan" on the rear of the headstock. If I remember correctly ESP claimed the 200 were made by the US ESP custom shop. The story goes that they made an extra four JH-2 from remaining parts in Japan. But I am not sure about this. Maybe these were the parts from the prototyping (???).
I'll follow this up. Let's see where we get!

I dunno about 4 extra ones. But quite a few qith out stamps with no COA's are out there, and quite a few with COA's with long numbers are also out there. Only the MOD would know. Mod? :)

Mod don't know exactly, was 10 years ago. I have a word in with a guy at ESP and he needs to do a little research as well. Hopefully he'll get back to me with something...

Yeah I had a road King right before the diezel and a dual rect before that, and yeah I prefer the distortion over them. But what really sold me on it was the cleans. I told the story before. Went in to a store for a set up, nothin else and they had a VH$ sitting there, so I was lick fuck it, let me try it with a chorus pedal.......Next thing I know....I went from planning on paying for a set up to $4600 :(
