View Full Version : New Gear Day!
My LTD M-1000 arrived today! It was a friggin hassle to get the thing 'cause UPS delivered right before my fiancee was able to get home to wait for it, so I had to wait until around 7 to pick it up from the local distribution center. But man was it worth it. The neck on this thing is amazing and it sounds great. not to mention it's an awesome guitar. Anyway, on with the pics! And note, the toys aren't mine lol.

FIXED!
FIXED!
I admit I do play with some of them haha. It's amazing how entertaining some of them can be.
But yeah I love the M-1000. If nothing else just for the neck. One of the most comfortable guitars I've ever played.

That MH 400 NT is badass, I have one too. I am not a huge fan of the M series ... I much prefer the H body and a straight headstock. I am considering the MH-1000 just for the OFR in the future .... either that or an ESP Standard. How does the OFR work for you compared to an LFR (which I used to own, and sucks in my opinion)?

I really can't give an argument on that because this is my first guitar with a OFR, or any type of FR for that matter. I can tell you so far that I like it, and from all the reviews and recommendations I read, get something with an original FR and not licensed because they are generally lower quality and don't hold the tuning as well. I'm taking the M-1000 later today to have it profressionally set up and intonated for drop-d tuning since I'm afraid I'd muck it up, lol.
And I love my MH400NT as well. It was such an awesome purchase. I got it brand new for $400. Both of these guitars sound amazing.
that's a great guitar man. You should take it outside and take some nature pics with it :)

how is the M neck compared to the MH?
how is the M neck compared to the MH?
I posted in your other thread but I'll say it here as well.
The M is a lot thinner than the MH. I prefer a thin neck on my guitars and the M definitely suits it. It might not be as thin as an Ibanez, but it's pretty much exactly what I need. The MH is a bit thicker, but not too thick to where it's uncomfortable. I have smaller hands so a thin neck is important to me. If you like them really thin for shredding, then go for an M style, hands down.

well i find the 202 neck is a bit thinner and wider which is good for me.... i am looking for a similar neck in any other esp model.

Going from the info on the ESP site, the 202 has the extra thin flat neck profile. The M series is an extra thin U profile, so it's probably going to be a little bit of adjusting do to the different shape, but they'll be very similar in terms of thickness. The F series has the extra thin U shape as well.

Thanks :)
LTD guitars are great instruments and are quite affordable, that's what drew me to them initially. Even the 50 line isn't all THAT bad for lower end guitars. I got a killer deal on both of my guitars, and if I ever became famous I would endorse ESP/LTD no doubt lol

i'm guessing the ex thin u will be alot closer to the ex thin flat than the thin u.
my 202 is an '06 model.
