uh..
I think it is a real shame to copy something which is supposed to be a "one of kind instrument" (I don't see any interest in this...)
What a lake of creativity and respect for the original owner who made everything... |I
Just make something different... It is not more complicated than this...
Everybody can create his own instrument.
Honestly... I spent so much time and energy with people at the Custom Shop to make those things alive...
This is why I will ask ESP to do not do again a purple custom color I made on a Horizon body and / or the blue one custom color I made on a M-II body...
And those who know me, know that I'm not kidding...
I just have to walk the street and talk to them... :|
The only thing I understand is I should not show anymore some of my guitars on the internet for these reasons.

Sounds oddly familiar.
One thing I learned very quickly from my experience 4 years ago with all the personalized KL guitars is that you're going to waste a lot of time and energy if you try to prevent other people from copying your ideas.
I used to find it pretty offensive, but looking back it was a bit silly. I should have been flattered instead of offended that people wanted to use "my" inlay ideas. Ken has actually done a handful of guitars now with that Ninja Star inlay I had done on one of mine. It's kinda cool to see it pop up here and there on different guitars. If he did that 4 years ago though I probably would have called him and lost it like a retard. :lol
Most people who claim they're going to get something done never do anyway. The rare few that actually do usually go through a company like Shamray or Ran anyway, so it's not really a copy. It's the Epiphone equivalent to a real Gibson.
If you come up with something cool there will be people who want to get it or something similar. Try not to worry too much about it. It's more or less a compliment to your taste.

What if someone gets a custom that you had in your head and you were going to order?
I ordered this which should be here in a few months. To me its the perfect looking guitar. The only thing I changed is the floyd. I got a gotoh fixed bridge.

BrazilianBootyLover, it is all about color, I don't care about the rest.
Syl I fully agree with you and know that very well... But when you spend hours with ESP guys at 08:00 PM trying, explaining and searching for your "only for you" thing, you don't want to share this, because you made everything and spend so much time and energy for this...
All my guitars are big project and a lot time for me...
Example, if Shane (BMusic) make a limited BMusic custom run, for BMusic only. Do you think he would be happy to see an other store do the act same guitar with a knob in more? I don't think so...
All those custom are supposed to be one of kind and this is one of the reasons why they are beautiful, because they are only one.
I would be more proud of me and my taste making a full custom guitar, than copying what is already done ;)

It is kind of disheartening. As soon as I posted pics of my custom I had a lot of people saying they're going to order exactly the same thing... maybe with different inlays. I seriously doubt anyone would go through with it, but it would be annoying if they did. But hey, if they want to spend that kind of money on something that's already been done... so be it :lol

OK, I understand now. Actually there is a see thru purple bass with a quilt at my local music store. It looks alot like lunas but its not a burst. I really want a custom color but its really hard thing to think if something like that. I have alot of respect for that luna cause the colors are beautiful. I really love his M II and horizon.

I did not mean to offend but because i want a blue to purple burst mii or horizon 2 with 3 top horn i am not allowed as someone has already ordered one,
i was inspired by PRS and the Kh20 amongst other guitars such as mii customs and snappers this was the reasoning behind the quilt top this was also the inspiration of the body shape but after seeing more horizons the contours and thickness with added tone i feel would be provided by this ,and as for the colour i did not want a red or flat black as have several guitars with these colours and wanted something new and different from this such as a electric blue or purple which are some of my favorite car colours , a see thru burst effect to compliment the figured top.
The inlay was actually intended to be a Celtic triskel with the meaning of birth, life and death fitting for a black/purple guitar and the fact i am Scottish with Celtic origins.
The neck and headstock were as a direct result of the Kh2 but as for the profile this would be the same as the Hanneman series due to playing a friends that is just brilliant as i like the feel and aesthetics of this combination .An ebony board was chosen to give a clearer tone as its intended as a lead guitar and i have many rosewood boards for rhythm and warmer lead tones.
Shinji i am sure your name was mentioned as your guitars are quite amazing and have this spec ,but im sorry i would still order a figure topped m2 or Horizon as that is what i have been set out to do for quite a while and it was only with seeing Kiko Loureiro model and yours ( which was e-mailed to me after talking about my ideas with friends about the intention of ordering the guitar) i realised how great a horizon looks .
Obviously the colour would be different as i am unable to go and speak about colour mixing so a readily available colour would most probably be chosen ,and if i could choose would be much darker with a more subtle burst to the back and sides of the guitar maybe with metalic solid finish on the back with the same neck finish as the kh2 cs.As for hardware that is just because i have played a kh2 and thats what i want from this guitar.

It wouldn't be the exact same colour, nor are the specs the same. It's just a resemblance. 8o

Yes.
There will be no more yellow Horizons of any kind.
